We almost always do it on a road bike BUT many folks think it is better done on a gravel setup. You can start in the awesome town of Gypsum to make it a more casual 60 mile loop. Either way, be prepared for no cars, incredible views, lots of wildlife sightings and 10 miles of pretty rough road. And get ready to gawk as you roll along the bike path thru Glenwood Canyon, aka the Little Grand Canyon.
If the Burns Loop is 100 miles of pure Colorado, then this one is 80 miles of the same.
