Skadi Vail is a new this year ski festival designed specifically for woman, Skadi (say ‘Scotty’) is the Norse goddess of winter, and this festival is just that, celebrating the goddess of woman skiers! This event is a perfect fit for Vail Vixens as we love to celebrate the feminine power in the mountains, whether it be skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking or whatever brings you closer to the outdoors and challenges you personally.
To celebrate this women’s weekend Venture Sports will be giving free hand or toe warmers to all ladies who come in the store and mention this “Skadi Promotion” as well as 25% off our award winning tunes. With all kinds of events and woman specific clinics and gear demo’s this is a great opportunity for woman to try this wonderful sport, take it to the next level or make some other woman friends to celebrate the joy of skiing with.
Female skiers will be treated to personalized guided experiences on the mountain with female instructors, then treat themselves to signature après ski and nighttime events from film premiers to a culinary presentations and wine tasting education.
Many who have signed up are most excited about the female-specific ski equipment demos where woman can try many different skis and boots designed just for them. SKADI Ski Fest is an event designed by women for women and is open and has a lot to offer for every level of skier. Come celebrate with other women and be united by a passion for skiing and the mountains, both on- and off-mountain.
The event is hosted by Vail Mountain will be held January 20-22, 2016. Participants will also receive a 20 percent discount on any treatments at the Lodge at Vail or Arrabelle spas.
This is a unique opportunity to experience Vail ski area in a whole new way and we are excited to see the impact this has on woman skiers from in and out of Vail and Colorado and of all ability levels from the beginner skier on the green runs to Shred Betty’s hucking the Prima Cornice.
